My translation while thinking of the King James translation, "Quench not the Spirit." The problem with the KJV is I don't normally use the word "quench". Just what does "quench" mean? I had to look it up. It means to "put out" or "extinguish": (https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/quench) Some translations use "extinguish" which makes more sense to me especially if I think of the Holy Spirit or His power in us as fire. (https://biblehub.com/1_thessalonians/5-19.htm) The Greek text comes from the Textus Receptus (Scrivener 1894) (https://www.textusreceptusbibles.com/Interlinear/52005019), but I don't think there are any textual variants for this verse to choose from.
